Sea Pottery & Sea Ceramic Necklaces, handmade in sterling silver.
The sea pottery:
Some of the pieces are Victorian, even Georgian, either from crockery broken in use and discarded, or perhaps originating from one of the many potteries which operated in the north-east of England, such as the famous Maling, and Sunderland, potteries. The pottery has been tumbled and worn by the North Sea over many years. I collect this by hand along beaches of the Northumbrian coast.
Each piece of sea pottery is different in shape, colour and pattern, making unique men’s or women’s necklaces.
