Natural British Carnelian Drop Earrings

These contemporary large cabochon earrings are handcrafted in pale carnelian quartz, a semi-precious gemstone I have collected by hand on the lovely Northumbrian coast, England. Using lapidary techniques, I cut and shaped the stone and set the round cabochons in sterling silver drop earrings.

As this is natural, untreated stone, each cabochon has been cut from different parts of the same stone and will differ slightly. The earrings are semi-transparent and look paler when held up the light.

Details:

• Earrings drop length: 1 inch (23 mm).
• Cabochon size: approximately 3/8 inches (10 mm) diameter.
• The ear wires are also sterling silver.

Please note: this is natural, untreated stone, which may contain small fissures and inclusions.
