Rig and Furrow Necklace
This silver necklace features ridged patterns inspired by ancient landscapes, the ‘rig and furrow’ contours of early mediaeval field systems seen in Northumberland and County Durham which are particularly noticeable on hillside fields.
Handcrafted in the north-east of England and stamped 999 (fine silver), not hallmarked.
Size:
- Width: just under 3/4 inches (19 mm); depth 3/8 inch (9 mm).
- Comes on a sterling silver chain attached on either side of the pendant (16 inches length).
- Total length around neck including pendant: approximately 16 5/8 inches (41.8 cm)
Each pendant is individually handmade, so may vary slightly from the photo.
