Rock Art Lilac Fused Glass Dish

This small square bowl is handcrafted in light purple glass, fused in a kiln.

The design:

The glass has a textured design inspired by my walks in the lovely county of Northumberland, and its prehistoric rock carvings or ‘cup and ring marks’. I choose colours which reflect the natural surroundings, such as the moss and lichens often present on and around the stones. The texture is enhanced when light catches the glass.

As well as for rings or trinkets the gently curved bowl could be used as small tableware, as a tealight candle, or simply as decoration for any room.

• just under 4 inches square (100 mm square)

Please allow for a slight variation from the photo, as I make each glass dish individually. The tiny bubbles which can be seen inside are part of the original glass-making process.
