Whitby Jet Men’s Hammered Silver Ring

Hammered sterling silver bezel ring individually handmade and textured using silversmith techniques. The ring is set with a large oval cabochon of natural Whitby jet which has been handcrafted using traditional lapidary (stonecutting) techniques.

Jet is a natural black gemstone from fossilised wood, and this piece has been found at Whitby, on the North Yorkshire coast of England

Ring size:

• Jet cabochon size: approximately 5/8 inch x 1/2 inch (16 mm x 12 mm).
• Ring size: S (UK/AU) – approx. size 9 1/4 (US/CAN)

I purchase all of my raw silver materials from established, reputable UK suppliers. This ring is also silver hallmarked. The raw jet has been sourced from an established supplier in Whitby (historically in Northumbria).
