Terms and Conditions:
Items shown should normally be in stock. Though a problem with your order or the item's displayed price is very unlikely, I reserve the right to cancel an order. In such case I would notify you and where necessary make any adjustment or activate a full refund.
I will activate a part postage refund if there is overpayment of postage & packing (e.g. for multiple orders).
If a particular postal service becomes unavailable for any reason, I will aim to post by the nearest equivalent service and will inform you of this on despatch of your order.

Weights:
Please note that any weights displayed under a product's 'additional information' are an approximate weight of the packaged item for shipping purposes (not an exact item weight).
Jewellery sizes:
Please check the size is correct for you. Remember, jewellery can appear bigger or smaller on different screens or close-up photographs. Sizes are shown in each individual listing (in inches then in metric).
Chain length and style:
If a longer chain is selected this may differ slightly in style from the photo - your order may sometimes take a little longer to despatch if I need to order or make a chain to the particular size. If you are looking for a different type of chain from that described, please send me a message before you purchase a pendant - I will let you know if I can make or order the chain for you, then calculate any additional cost and adjust your order price.
Special offers and coupons:
Normally only one offer or coupon code will apply for any one order. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like further information, or if you have problems submitting your coupon.
Returns, refunds and exchanges:
If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, please notify me - this should normally be within 14 days of receipt of your order.
- If you prefer, I will arrange a replacement (if available), otherwise I will offer a refund. I will activate your refund once the item has been returned, and received by me in its original condition and packaging. I will refund the order amount minus original postage & packing cost.
- Please update me with a message once you have posted the item you are returning, so that I can expect its delivery.
- Please return item/s unused, well packaged, in the condition originally received and in the original packaging, to my returns address (provided on the outer parcel).
- I recommend returns to be made by a trackable postal service.
- Any refund due may be reduced if an item is received incomplete or damaged.
- Please allow up to 28 days for the refund to arrive in your account, depending on your payment method (refunds normally take less time than this).
Extended returns time over Christmas: For orders made between 20th December 2024 and 31st December 2024 I will accept returns within 21 days.
Customs (International - non-UK orders only), disclaimer:
Occasionally a parcel may be delayed at Customs on reaching the destination country - unfortunately I cannot be held responsible for any such delays not within my control. For countries where applicable, parcels will be labelled with necessary information for any Customs checks.
I cannot guarantee that there will be no customs taxes or customs duties (which may be charged on arrival at the destination country). The recipient of the parcel must be responsible for any such payment.
Customs Restrictions: There can be restrictions on jewellery by Customs in some countries, though the rules around this are not always clear. Unfortunately I cannot be held responsible for any problems at Customs, so please contact your individual country’s Customs department before purchase if you are unsure whether restrictions might apply.
Unclaimed items:
If an item is delivered back to me 'Unclaimed' (i.e. delivery has been attempted but not accepted - this could be several months after my original despatch date), I will contact you.
I may offer to resend the item (this would require a repeat postage cost and a handling charge of 5%).
If I do not hear from you, or you do not wish me to resend the item, I will send you a refund of the original item cost (minus the original postage, plus a handling charge of 5%).
Where the item has been 'Unclaimed' I am not able to send any refund unless I receive the item back from the postal service.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Natural stone:
Please note: natural stone can contain tiny fissures or inclusions.
Exact identification of stone types is often difficult, as there is such variety and often a similarity between stones. Identification is always made to the best of my knowledge, supported by careful reference.
Adhesive where used is a jewellery grade clear epoxy resin.
Environmental information and packaging:
In order to minimise impact our local environment I am careful to follow UK guidelines when collecting natural resources from our region and coastline.
Faceted gemstones and cabochons have been cut and finished at Northumbria Gems.
Northumbria Gems jewellery may come either in a natural gift box (colour may vary) which is recycled and eco-friendly, or a gift bag, and larger wire pendants will be wrapped in coloured tissue. The faceted gemstone jewellery will normally come in a velvet or leatherette box. Where I use the green-coloured bubblewrap for packaging this is eco-friendly and biodegradable.
The green-coloured bubble wrap, which I may use in outer packaging, is biodegradable and compostable. The main outer packaging is normally a recyclable card box.
